To Harlingen

Harlingen-Haven, where the boat departs to Vlieland is easy to access with public transportation. From Alkmaar there are public busses as well as from Leeuwarden and Heerenveen. By train from Amsterdam you go to Zwolle - Leeuwarden and then catch the train to Harlingen-Haven.

Parking in Harlingen

Close to the ferry terminal of the Rederij Doeksen you can park your car on the guarded parking lots. Just follow the signs at the ferry terminal.

To Vlieland

The ferry ride to Vlieland is about 90 minutes. You are able to make reservations online at the Rederij Doeksen (www.rederij-doeksen.nl) or just get your ticket at the ferry terminal. In the busy season like summer and weekends online booking will save you time at the counter.

Luggage

The Rederij Doeksen transports your luggage on the ferry on little luggage cars. At arrival on Vlieland you can drop your luggage off at the Wietze de Boer luggage transportation. They will bring it for you to the Bosrand. This is a free service.

To the Bosrand

The bus line 110 has connection at the ferry arrival. This bus (you can use strippencard or pay cash) takes you to the Bosrand within a few minutes.(Check: www.tcr.nl)
At the ferry arrival there are also taxis available.
