Surroundings
Vlieland is well known for its calm and peaceful atmosphere and this is exactly the reason why our guests come to the Duinkersoord area. But there are so many other things the surrounding has to offer.
Hiking routes start right in front of our property, just as all kinds of other walks or cycling routes through forest or dunes. Many ways to explore Vlieland’s unique nature or just to inhale the fresh ocean breeze. Next to the Bosrand you will find a small path on which you can walk to Northsea beach. A few steps on a steep dune, and there you are… overviewing the North Sea!
Here, you can also see Cape Bol (North Sea’s highest dune, spectacular for great sunsets!) You can swim, try to catch an evening meal or just lay down and relax.A few minutes walk on the beach takes you to a great beach restaurant, open for lunch and dinner. Other restaurants, shops, bars or museum are situated in the picturesque town of East-Vlieland at a 1 mile distance.
Child friendly
It is good to know everything is within walking or biking distance. And it is very safe for children to play and ride their little bicycles. On Vlieland there is not much of motorized traffic; tourists have to leave their car on the mainland.
